These are my 4 ingredient sleepy time immunity gummies (I also eat these as a snack and love them). Unrefined Nutrients Immune Protein contains l-tryptophan (a precursor to melatonin), zinc, magnesium and protein which are all important for helping your child wind down and stay asleep. A 2023 study found that children who consume adequate protein and healthy fats throughout the day and in the evening were more likely to fall asleep faster and stay asleep for longer.
Ingredients
3 tbsp Immune Protein of choice* (use code “sleepy15 for 15% off all flavours)
270ml organic coconut milk
1 tbsp additional sweetener (OPTIONAL if desired… I use maple syrup)
1/2 cup water
3 tbsp gelatin
Note* to make Neapolitan jellies (as pictured), repeat the above for each flavour but half the amount of coconut milk and only allow to set for 30/40 minutes between each layer.
Optional* If your child is low in iron, add 2 capsules of our Whole Iron + C to the above mixture at the same time as adding the Immune Protein.
Method
In a saucepan on very low heat, add 270 ml organic coconut milk, sweetener, water and gelatin to a pan. Use a whisk until combined (and gelatin has melted). Remove from heat immediately and do not allow to reach boiling point.
Add 3 tbsp of Immune Protein of choice, whisk until combined.
Pour into jelly moulds or glass container of choice and allow to set for 2-3 hours. Store in refrigerator for up to 5 days.
