Kids Immune Protein
Kids Immune Protein is designed for children aged 12 months and older. The nutrition panel aligns with RDIs for ages 1 to 3, but older kids and teens enjoy it too.
- 12 months to 4 years: 1 scoop (about 1.5 tbsp / 15g) per day. Can be split between a milkshake and cooking.
- 4 years and over: 1 to 2 scoops per day, depending on dietary needs.
- Adults: safe to enjoy, including during pregnancy and breastfeeding. For an adult-tailored formula, see our Mother's Replete Protein.
Because it's real wholefood (not synthetic), think of it like food, not medicine. The serving size is a guide, and many families increase gently when sickness is going around.
Yes. Kids Immune Protein is made from gentle wholefood ingredients (pasture-raised collagen, real cacao, vanilla or strawberry, naturally-sourced vitamins and minerals) and is safe alongside pregnancy and breastfeeding. Many mums share it with their little ones.
For a formula tailored specifically to adult and maternal nutrition needs, see our Mother's Replete Protein.
A quick milkshake is the easiest and most popular way: 1 scoop into your favourite milk and whisk well. Any milk works, full cream, lite, soy, oat, almond, whatever your little one prefers.
Because this is real wholefood (not full of synthetic fillers and emulsifiers), it needs a proper whisk to dissolve smoothly. Our hand mixer makes it silky in seconds.
You can also stir into porridge or yoghurt, bake into muffins or bliss balls, or blend into smoothies. For more ideas, head to our recipe blog.
Best made fresh. Without synthetic emulsifiers, the powder can settle and separate if mixed ahead of time. If you do need to pre-make it (for example, for daycare), give it a good shake or stir right before serving.
We've got you. Under our 14-day Taste Guarantee, if your little one doesn't take to a flavour, just email us at hello@unrefinednutrients.com.au and we'll send a different flavour on us. No need to send the original back.
A few tips from our community:
- Vanilla is the universal crowd-pleaser and the safest bet for fussy eaters.
- Strawberry tends to do really well with younger kids.
- Chocolate is more natural (no added sugar). Some kids take a few tries to warm up to it. Frothing with warm milk helps.
Yes. You can add it to warm meals or baking; some vitamins (B1, B5, B9, C) are heat-sensitive and may reduce slightly. Hydrolysed collagen, minerals, L-Tryptophan, magnesium and choline remain stable.
For maximum benefit, mix in after cooking or use in cooler recipes like smoothies or yoghurt.
All flavours meet strict FSANZ standards and are free from artificial colours, preservatives and sweeteners; non-GM; tested for heavy metals, glyphosate, herbicides and pesticides; gentle on little tummies (12 months and over).
- Strawberry: real strawberry + plant compounds (not fruit powder) to avoid additives and clumping.
- Chocolate: real cacao components; rounded with cacao + carob for a smooth taste without added sugar or stimulants.
- Vanilla: plant-derived compounds from vanilla beans; no preservatives or artificial additives.
Yes. Kids Immune Protein is free from nuts, dairy, soy and gluten. Our manufacturer follows stringent allergen controls including routine swabbing and testing, and we batch-test for gluten, peanuts and tree nuts.
Our products are completely dairy and milk free, and we batch-test to confirm this. The collagen is bovine, which means it comes from beef, not milk, so it does not contain the milk proteins that trigger a cow's milk protein allergy or intolerance (CMPI).
Lots of families with dairy-free little ones enjoy it, simply mixed into a non-dairy milk like oat, almond or soy. As always, if your child has a diagnosed allergy, please check our full ingredient list with your health professional first.
Yes. According to FSANZ, collagen is a safe whole-food protein derived from cows. Ours is hydrolysed for easy absorption and sourced from grass-fed, pasture-raised cattle. Kids Immune Protein also contains L-Tryptophan to provide a complete essential amino acid profile.
Proudly made in Brisbane, Australia. Ingredients are globally sourced (climate-dependent) with sustainable and organic practices prioritised. All suppliers are carefully vetted for quality and safety.
All ingredients used in Kids Immune Protein are Halal-friendly (for example, bovine collagen from cattle, natural flavours, minerals, vitamins). However, our manufacturing facility is not currently Halal-certified. While strict allergen and hygiene controls are in place, we don't claim formal Halal certification at this time.
No. It's not a formula or meal replacement. We recommend a food-first approach and using it alongside a varied diet.
We're working on single-serve sample packs. In the meantime, our 14-day Taste Guarantee covers you. If your child doesn't love their flavour, we'll swap it for a different one free of charge.
Mother's Replete Protein
Yes. Mother's Replete Protein is formulated specifically for the demands of pregnancy, breastfeeding and postpartum recovery. Every ingredient was chosen with this stage in mind and reviewed by our in-house GP, Dr Mitch.
It's free from nuts, dairy, soy, gluten, GMO, fillers, preservatives and artificial sweeteners or colours. Naturally sweetened with a touch of steviol glycosides (steviol leaf extract), which is considered safe during pregnancy.
That said, if you have a specific medical condition or your GP has placed you on a specialised plan, run our full ingredient list past them first.
Yes, with one small tip. Because Mother's Replete contains active B vitamins, Vitamin C and a live probiotic, very high temperatures can reduce the potency of those nutrients.
The easiest fix is to let your coffee cool slightly before stirring it in, or to use it in an iced coffee (genuinely delicious).
If you want a fully heat-stable option for hot drinks, our straight Pure Collagen is the better fit for that use case.
In most cases, yes. Mother's Replete is designed to complement, not replace, your prenatal. The B vitamins and choline in our formula are at supportive levels (not megadoses) and sourced from wholefoods.
That said, every prenatal is different and some are very high in certain nutrients. If you're on a prescription prenatal or a high-dose formula, we recommend showing both labels to your GP or midwife to confirm the combined daily intake sits comfortably within recommended ranges.
Pure Collagen Peptides is exactly that, a single-ingredient hydrolysed collagen for hair, skin, nails and gut. It's flavourless and heat-stable.
Mother's Replete Protein is a complete, nutritionist-formulated postpartum blend. It includes:
- Collagen, plus faba bean and pumpkin seed protein (so you get a complete amino acid profile)
- Active B vitamins from organic quinoa sprouts
- Choline (for postpartum brain and fetal development)
- Vitamin C from real wholefoods
- Calcium from sea minerals
- A heat-sensitive live probiotic
- A naturally subtle vanilla bean flavour
The simplest way to think about it: Pure Collagen is a single nutrient; Mother's Replete is a full daily protein ritual designed for the depleted years of motherhood.
You can start any time. Mother's Replete is gentle and food-based, so it's suitable across all trimesters. Many mums start in the second or third trimester when protein and choline needs are highest, and continue through breastfeeding and beyond.
In early pregnancy, if you're experiencing nausea or food aversions, start with a smaller half-scoop in cold milk or a smoothie until your tolerance returns.
Not at all. Mother's Replete is named for the season of life it was designed for, but it's a beautifully nutrient-dense daily protein for any woman who wants real wholefood nutrition.
It's especially supportive for:
- Pre-conception and fertility planning
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Postpartum recovery (with or without breastfeeding)
- Mums of any age looking for a clean daily protein
- Anyone wanting wholefood-sourced B vitamins and minerals
The most popular way is a quick daily shake. Add 1 scoop to your favourite milk or water and whisk well. Any milk works, full cream, lite, soy, oat or almond.
Because this is real wholefood (not full of synthetic fillers and emulsifiers), it needs a proper whisk to dissolve smoothly. Our hand mixer gets it silky in seconds.
Other ways to use it:
- Stir into cooled coffee or iced coffee for a protein latte
- Add to overnight oats or porridge
- Blend into a smoothie with fruit and yoghurt
- Stir into Greek yoghurt as a quick snack
- Bake into muffins, pancakes or bliss balls
For more ideas, head to our recipe blog.
Best made fresh. Without synthetic emulsifiers, the powder can settle and separate if mixed ahead of time. Blended into a smoothie holds together better than a plain shake. If you do need to pre-make it, give it a vigorous shake or stir right before drinking.
It depends entirely on your individual triggers and the plan your practitioner has placed you on. We genuinely recommend running our full ingredient list past them first.
For reference, the main ingredients that sometimes flag for sensitive guts are the prebiotic resistant starch and acacia fibre, which are both very well tolerated by most people but worth checking against your individual plan.

Yes. According to FSANZ, collagen is a safe wholefood protein derived from cows. Ours is hydrolysed for easy absorption and sourced from grass-fed, pasture-raised Australian and New Zealand cattle.
Mother's Replete also blends collagen with faba bean and pumpkin seed protein, so you get a complete amino acid profile rather than collagen alone.
It can. Postpartum hair shedding has multiple causes (hormonal shifts, nutrient depletion, sleep loss) so no single supplement is a cure. That said, the combination of complete protein, collagen, B vitamins and choline in Mother's Replete addresses several of the nutritional contributors mums commonly experience after birth.
Many of our customers report noticeable improvements in hair, nails and energy within 6 to 8 weeks of consistent daily use.
Yes. While Mother's Replete is formulated with maternal needs in mind, it's a clean daily protein that anyone in your household can enjoy. Many of our customers tell us their partners use it too, especially as a quick post-workout shake.

Magnesium & Chamomile Hot Chocolate
We don't position this as a pregnancy-specific product. Our blend contains chamomile and passionflower, and the research data on these herbs in pregnancy is limited (most clinical studies exclude pregnant women, so there isn't a strong evidence base either way).
The doses in one cup are low, around 170mg each of chamomile and passionflower extract, which is in line with what's traditionally consumed in herbal teas. Many mums enjoy an occasional cup without issue, but because the evidence is limited, we recommend running it past your midwife or GP before making it a regular ritual.
For pregnancy-specific evening nourishment, our Mother's Replete Protein is the one designed for that stage.
Yes. Chamomile has a long history of safe use during breastfeeding and is even traditionally considered supportive of milk supply. The other ingredients (magnesium, glycine, real cacao) are safe at the doses in one cup.
As with anything new while breastfeeding, start with one cup and see how you and bub go.
A small amount, yes. The organic raw cacao in our blend contains naturally occurring caffeine, around 25 to 35mg per serve. For context, that's less than a cup of black tea (40 to 70mg) and far less than brewed coffee (95mg and up).
If you're particularly sensitive to caffeine in the evening, this is worth knowing. Most customers find the magnesium, chamomile and passionflower more than offset the small amount of cacao caffeine, which is why it works as an evening drink.
Some customers, particularly those used to low-sugar households, find the natural sweetness (from coconut sugar with a touch of steviol glycosides) more than expected. We've kept the level where it is because in our taste testing, both kids and adults consistently finished the cup.
If it's a bit sweet for your household, here are some ways to use the pouch you have:
- Use a half-serve in 200ml warm milk
- Stir a quarter-serve into a smoothie with banana
- Bake into bliss balls, muffins or pancakes (the sweetness mellows considerably)
- Stir a tiny pinch through yoghurt or oats
And if it's not working for your household at all, you're covered by our 14-day Taste Guarantee. Just email us at hello@unrefinednutrients.com.au.
Yes, for ages 4 and up. We recommend half a serve (about 8g) in warm milk as an occasional bedtime treat. Many of our customers tell us it's become a beloved family ritual, calm in a cup for the whole house.
For little ones under 4, our Kids Immune Protein range is the better fit, formulated specifically for ages 1 and over.
Most customers notice the calming settle feeling within 30 to 60 minutes of drinking, which is why we recommend timing your cup that way.
For deeper, more restorative sleep, the benefits often build over 1 to 2 weeks of consistent nightly use as magnesium stores replenish. Magnesium deficiency is common and takes a little time to correct, so don't write it off after one or two nights.
Most adults can, but it's worth checking the combined daily intake. One cup delivers 300mg of magnesium (94% RDI for adult women).
If you're already taking another magnesium supplement (often 300 to 400mg), you may be at or above the upper safe intake for the day. Excess magnesium most commonly just causes loose stools, but if you're on a clinical plan or higher doses, run it past your GP or naturopath.
Yes, and Nicola and Mitch do this nightly for their three boys! Stir half a serve of the hot chocolate into a regular Cacao Immune Protein cup for a supercharged bedtime drink that calms the whole house down.
It's the easiest way to wind everyone down at the end of the day, with the magnesium and herbs in the hot chocolate plus the wholefood nutrition of the kids' protein.
Generally fine. The herbs in our blend (chamomile, passionflower) are gentle and traditional, and the magnesium and amino acids are at supportive, not therapeutic, doses.
That said, if you're on a prescription sleep medication (such as temazepam, zolpidem or quetiapine), or a high-dose herbal sedative, we recommend speaking to your GP before adding our hot chocolate. Sedative effects can occasionally stack. For everyday over-the-counter melatonin or magnesium products, most people use them alongside ours without issue.
Best made fresh. Without synthetic emulsifiers, the powder can settle and separate if mixed ahead of time. Blended into a smoothie tends to hold together better than a plain shake.
If you do need to pre-make it (an iced version the next day, for example), give it a vigorous stir or shake right before drinking.
Yes. Every ingredient is plant-based or mineral. The chocolatey base is organic cacao, mesquite and carob; the calming layer is sea-sourced magnesium, plant-derived glycine and L-tryptophan, and chamomile and passionflower extracts. No dairy, eggs, or animal-derived ingredients.
Yes. Magnesium & Chamomile Hot Chocolate is free from nuts, dairy, soy and gluten. No artificial flavours, colours or sweeteners. Our manufacturer follows stringent allergen controls including routine swabbing and testing, and we batch-test for gluten and tree nuts.
Proudly made in Brisbane, Australia from globally sourced ingredients. The cacao, mesquite and carob aren't grown in Australia, which is why the label reads "made in Australia from less than 10% Australian ingredients." All suppliers are carefully vetted for quality and safety.

Collagen Peptides
Whole Iron + C
- Gentler on digestion – they’re less likely to cause constipation, nausea or cramping that are common with synthetic iron.
- Better absorbed and utilised – the iron in food-based supplements is bound to proteins and amino acids, allowing for steadier uptake by the body.
- More efficient at lower doses – wholefood iron can bypass the body’s “iron block” mechanism (hepcidin response), meaning smaller, more natural amounts can still effectively raise iron stores without overwhelming your system.

Nine times out of ten it's the batteries not quite seated, they need a firmer push than you'd expect. A few things to check:
- Press the batteries in firmly until they sit hard against the springs. They often need more pressure than feels natural, so really push them in.
- There's a small pull-ribbon sitting under the batteries in the compartment. Make sure the batteries sit on top of it and it isn't bunched up between the battery and the metal contact. That ribbon is only there to help you lift the batteries out later.
- Double-check the batteries are the right way around, matching the + and - markings inside the compartment.
