Sleepy-time Strawberry Ice Cream

Sleepy-time Strawberry Ice Cream

Need a sleepy-time post dinner snack for your children? We're not always pro dessert, particularly when it leads to our children not eating their dinner and ONLY eating their dessert. That said, everything in moderation and these ice-creams are full of healthy fats, protein, zinc, magnesium and tryptophan (the perfect combination of nutrients for good night's sleep.

Ingredients

1 cup frozen or fresh strawberries (I like to buy the organic frozen strawberries)
2 tbsp Kid's Immune Protein (Strawberry Fort)
250ml (1 can) organic coconut milk
2 tbsp pure maple syrup (optional)
1 tbsp coconut oil

Method

Place ice-cream moulds on a flat baking tray in freezer before prepping ingredients (we like these moulds off amazon).

Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor (add Immune Protein last to prevent powder from sticking to the bottom of the blender). Blend until smooth & creamy.

Transfer mixture into a jug so you can easily pour it into the ice-cream moulds. Insert wooden stick into each ice cream.

Transfer the ice-creams to the freezer and allow to set for 3-6 hours.

Remove ice creams from silicone moulds and serve to your little ones for an immune-boosting, macro-balanced treat.

Storage: Place in an airtight container with baking paper between each one to prevent them sticking together.
