Unlike most magnesium or “sleepy” drinks that rely on synthetic sweeteners, thickeners, or poorly absorbed forms of magnesium, our formulation is built on clean, effective and whole-food ingredients.

How to Use (Hot Chocolate)
Rest & Restore Magnesium Hot Chocolate is best enjoyed as a cosy evening drink — ideally 30–60 minutes before bed.
Mix approximately 1.5 tbsp (16.5 g) into 200 ml warm milk or liquid of choice
Whisk or blend with a hand mixer for the smoothest, creamiest texture
Adjust sweetness with honey, maple syrup or preferred sweetener
Add marshmallows or extra cacao for an indulgent treat
Children 2+: start with ~½ teaspoon and adjust slowly
Children 6+: start with ~1 teaspoon and adjust as needed
Tip: If sensitive to magnesium, begin with a smaller amount and increase over time.
Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Reseal immediately after use.

Magnesium Hot Chocolate
A rich, creamy cacao with a gentle natural sweetness. It is intentionally not overly sweet so you can customise it for your taste – add honey, maple or marshmallows if you prefer it sweeter.
Each serve contains 300 mg of naturally derived magnesium from three gentle, highly bioavailable forms: marine magnesium, marine algae and magnesium glycinate. These forms are well absorbed and designed to be kind on the stomach.
It is not a sedative, but it supports calm, relaxation and a regulated nervous system. Most people enjoy it as part of a consistent wind-down routine in the evening.
Yes. For children over 2 years of age we recommend a very small serve, around 1/2 teaspoon, adjusted to your child’s needs. It works beautifully combined with Kids Immune Protein Cacao Cavalry for a creamier, nutrient-rich drink.
It is made from food-based ingredients, magnesium and gentle calming herbs. Many pregnant and breastfeeding mums enjoy it, but we always recommend checking with your GP, obstetrician or midwife for personalised advice.
Yes. Some people enjoy it mid-afternoon to take the edge off stress or sugar cravings. The botanicals are gentle, but everyone’s sensitivity is different, so start with a smaller serve if you are unsure.
Cacao naturally contains a small amount of caffeine, typically less than standard hot chocolate or a cup of tea. Most people still find the overall effect calming thanks to the magnesium and herbs.
No. It is free from artificial sweeteners, flavours, gums, thickeners, maltodextrin and preservatives. It is made only from purposeful, real ingredients.
Yes. The blend itself is naturally dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan. You can prepare it with any milk you like, whether dairy or plant-based.
For the creamiest texture, whisk it thoroughly or use a small hand frother in warm milk or water. It also works iced by mixing with hot liquid first, then pouring over ice once combined.
Most people find these forms of magnesium very gentle. If you are sensitive, start with a smaller amount and gradually build up to a full serve as tolerated.
There are approximately 20 serves per pouch. Most people use one serve per day in the evening, so a pouch will usually last around 3-4 weeks at a standard serve.

OUR STORY
Unrefined Nutrients was founded by Nicola Inger Scruby — a mum of two (soon to be three!) and qualified nutritionist with a background in Clinical Nutrition, Health Science, and Pregnancy, Postpartum & Infant Nutrition. After years in a busy mothers’ clinic, Nicola saw first-hand how common nutrient gaps are for mums and kids — and how most supplements on the market were either full of additives, hard to absorb, or not suitable for both.
When her own toddler faced repeated daycare bugs, food aversions, and weight loss, Nicola began creating “immunity milkshakes” — wholefood blends packed with immune-supportive ingredients he’d actually drink. These shakes became the inspiration for our Kid’s Immune Protein.
